Mgr. Jiří Kovařík

Jiří was born in November 1978 in Karlovy Vary, where he graduated not only from primary school (Primary School at Růžovém Vrchu), but also from the Karlovy Vary Grammar School, where he graduated in 1997.

In 2007 he successfully graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague (Mgr. degree).

Jiří gained his legal practice at the renowned law firm of JUDr. Martin Tocik in Karlovy Vary (law firm TOCIK & PARTNER, or subsequently TOCIK ŠINDELÁŘ & PARTNEŘI), which operates in Karlovy Vary and Prague, already during his university studies and subsequently from 2007 to 2010 as a law clerk and from 2010 to 2023 as a cooperating attorney.

Since 01.01.2024 Jiří has been a member of the association of ŠINDELÁŘ KOVAŘÍK SÝKORA, LAW FIRM based in Karlovy Vary.

Jiří Kovařík is a member of the Czech Bar Association as an attorney-at-law and is registered in the list of attorneys under number 13273.

Jiří focuses mainly on civil law (including family and labour law), commercial law and insolvency law.

Personal life

Jiří enjoys sports, in his youth he played ice hockey competitively for Karlovy Vary (today HC Energie Karlovy Vary) for over 15 years, he likes to watch documentaries, especially travelogues, wildlife or history, and he likes to visit interesting places in person. With the exception of his studies, he has lived his whole life in Karlovy Vary, which he considers his home.

Jiří lives with his girlfriend.
